I just arrived on board Celebrity's new ship, the Celebrity Solstice.   A good agent friend of mine, who had sailed on the ship several weeks ago described it as the most beautiful cruise ship that he had ever been on, and I agree with him based on first impressions.  It's a magnificent ship, with interior decorating done by a panel of women, which inspired Celebrity to redesign the traditional ship with softer colors, a much more intimate pool deck, and pool areas - similar to the sunning areas of the most elegant spa's.  I am in a balcony cabin on deck 9, and the cabin is very comfortable, with a little larger couch and balcony than I am used to for this cabin category.  This ship is unique in that it has the 'Lawn Club" actual grass on much of the aft end of the ship to walk on and with a putting green.  The grass look of a similar species as is used on sea side golf greens.  Additionally this class has a glass blowing facility and small Corning Glass museum.  That demonstration should be very interesting!  Life boat drill next, then out to sea to arrive in San Juan on Tuesday!!!
